According to current regulations (in particular, the European reference regulation on packaging EN13432 / EN 14995) the compostable material, to be defined as such, must disintegrate in less than 3 months and no longer be visible, with the composting process taking place in the environment checked.
WHAT IS THE COMPOSTABLE MATERIAL FOR?
Not all biodegradable plastics are compostable and, therefore, usable for the collection of the wet fraction of household waste.
